Bringing the shine back to a 2008 Lexus GX470.

The GX470 is one of those SUVs people hold on to for a long time, and for good reason. This 2008 still runs its V8, still carries the wood-grain trim Lexus used inside, and has clearly been looked after. What it needed was a detail to match.

We set up in the parking lot outside the owner’s workplace, so their day went on as normal while we worked. Black paint is unforgiving: dust, film, and water spots all show. A careful hand wash and gloss refresh brought the finish back to a deep, even black that mirrors the trees overhead.

Inside, the gray leather was cleaned seam by seam, the carpet was vacuumed out, and the dash, console, and wood trim were wiped down. It is an older interior with some honest wear, and now it is a clean one.
