The C6 Corvette is a staple of American muscle, and Velocity Yellow is about as loud as a factory color gets. That brightness is also what makes it tough to keep: water spots, dull patches, and fine haze all stand out against yellow in a way they never would on silver or white.
Getting to put life back into a car like this is one of the best parts of the job. The paint was hand washed, then hydrated and sealed with a spray-on ceramic so the color reads rich instead of flat. The chrome five-spoke wheels got their own time, spoke by spoke, before the tires were dressed.
Inside, the low-slung cockpit was vacuumed down to the carpet, the leather buckets were cleaned and conditioned, and the carpet was shampooed and steamed. Even the rear cargo area under the big glass hatch came out clean.
